Workspace and access problems

Signing in, a project that does not appear, a stage that will not start, and Nelix Agent not answering.

Getting in#

Problem	What to do
You requested access and heard nothing	Requests are reviewed by Nelix. Wait for the email
The activation email did not arrive	Check your spam folder
The activation link does not work	Links expire. Request access again, or ask Nelix to send a new one
You cannot sign in	Check the email address is the one you requested access with

A project does not appear#

Situation	Fix
You just ran `nelix new`	Go back to Overview and refresh the page
`nelix new` refused the name	Names are letters, numbers, hyphens and underscores, up to 64 characters, starting with a letter or number
You are at your project limit	Delete a project you no longer need on the Projects page

A command says it cannot find the project#

Most nelix commands must be run inside the project folder.

cd ~/project/mychip
nelix test

A stage will not start#

Message or sign	Cause
The button does nothing, and another run shows as Running	One run of each kind at a time. Wait, or cancel it with `nelix cancel JOB`
A build stays Queued	Builds run a few at a time across the server. It starts when a slot is free
A message about your allowance	Tool time or storage for the month is used. See your Usage page

Nelix Agent does not answer#

Result	Meaning
Available, and Design Chat still refuses	Your Nelix Agent allowance is used up for now. The AI meter in the top bar shows when it renews
Not available	A temporary problem on the server. The three stages still work without it

The Workspace#

Problem	Try
The terminal is blank or frozen	Reload the page
A file you edited did not take effect	Check you saved it, and that you edited the file inside `~/project/<name>`
The page looks out of date after an update	Press Ctrl+F5 to reload without the cache

A project cannot be deleted#

A project with a run queued or running cannot be deleted. Wait for the run to finish, or cancel it. Only the person who created a project can delete it.

Still stuck#

Open Feedback in the lab and describe what you did and what happened. Include the run id if there is one.

Accounts and workspacesRequest access, wait for approval, set your password, and sign in.
