Snapshots#

The AI Workspace saves a snapshot after every chip build and every AI fix: a copy of the design files at that moment and the measured results (timing, area, power, design-rule and layout checks).

How long they are kept: for each project, the lab keeps every snapshot from the last 90 days, or the newest 30, whichever keeps more. Older snapshots are removed by a daily clean-up.

The clean-up removes only snapshots. It never removes your project files, your builds and their reports, or the record of AI fixes and whether you accepted or merged them.

What the lab learns from failed runs#

When a fix from Nelix Agent makes a failed run pass its test on a copy, the lab may add a short, anonymous note to a shared fix library: the kind of error, the tool and its version, and what fixed it, in general words. Nelix Agent reads this library to explain the same error faster next time, for everyone.

The note never contains your design files, your code, the names of your files, modules or signals, your name or your e-mail. Each note is checked automatically for these before it is saved, and the first notes are also checked by a person.

To keep your fixes out of the library, write to info@nelix.io from the address you sign in with. Notes already made from your fixes are then removed.

Notifications#

Notifications are kept so the bell and the Notifications page can show them. E-mails go only to the address you sign in with.

Your own AI key#

If you add your own AI key, it is stored encrypted and is never shown, logged or sent anywhere except the provider you chose.
